Michelle was born to race. It’s in her family, in her blood and in her DNA. This weekend at the 46^th Westernationals, Michelle is returning to the driver’s seat after a couple of years away from racing and is super excited to be competing again in her Modified dragster.

With only two Group 1 events left on the Australian National Drag Racing Championship calendar, racers are moving into top gear as they seek to gain as many points as they can prior to the season finale - Summit Racing Equipment Drag Racing Grand Finals – at Adelaide International Raceway on March 31^st and April 1^st.

It’s a given that when you win something, you want to have another crack at it. Be it a scratch and win ticket, poker machine or winning a championship.

For the Top Alcohol category, the Westernationals will be their second opportunity to gain valuable points in the 2016/17 ANDRA Drag racing Series.

It would appear that the 46^th annual Westernationals has the potential to become one of the greatest Top Doorslammer showdowns ever. The numbers being thrown around are definitely close to the 20-car count battling it out for eight positions. Now that’s got to be exciting for the fans.

During 2017, elections are due for ANDRA Division Directors in Victoria/Tasmania, Northern Australia and Western Australia.

The Australian National Drag Racing Association together with Adelaide DragRace Promotions are pleased to announce that Summit Racing Equipment have taken naming rights sponsorship for the 2016/17 ANDRA Drag Racing Grand Finals.

The beautiful seaside South Coast Raceway at Portland in Victoria has been host to the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars for several years and the 2017 event is shaping up to be the best yet, with a special feature – a father vs son shootout!

It may have taken them 38 years, but Aussie drag racing legend Graeme Cooper and his famous “Bricklayer” Holden station wagon have finally won the Australian Nationals.

The hot conditions at the ANDRA Goldenstates made it difficult for the naturally aspirated cars to run quick, but that still didn’t stop five records broken by the close of the event.

For the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series, all the racers had two qualifiers each day, giving them plenty of opportunity to improve, especially since Saturday was cooler after Friday’s heat.

After the epic final Top Doorslammer qualifier on Friday, today was all about going rounds. And rounds it was for the current ANDRA Champ John Zappia, fighting off some strong performances from the other teams.

For Top Fuel motorcycle it was a whole new day with their three-round format. And a new day brings new surprises with the two quickest bikes bowing out and giving Benny Stevens a popular win.

Yep while some watched Danny Green and Anthony Mundine bang each other in the head over 10 rounds, ANDRA Championship drag racing returned to Perth Motorplex with a bang of it’s own. The Goldenstates was back and with championship rounds for Top Doorslammer and Top Fuel Motorcycle. Anticipation was high to see who could run the numbers and who would win in conditions that were best described as hot and sticky. Damian Muscat became the first winner of the event when he dominated the three-round format in Top Fuel Motorcycle.
