The quickest and fastest nitro funny car pilot in New Zealand – Willy White - will join fellow countryman, Morice McMillin as the Kiwi duo double the odds of taking the Aeroflow ‘Rocket’ trophies back to the land of the long white cloud.

White will be taking the wheel of a car new to him, the ‘Fast Company’ Plymouth Arrow, the previous ride of series superstar, Shane Olive.

With Olive set to debut new ‘Red Devil’ ’57 Chevy, the chance to drive one of the consistently fastest cars in the Aeroflow show was one that White had to take up.

“I can’t wait to run the new car, I have watched it from the outside and I believe we can definitely look for a podium finish with Fast Company. We want to make this trip count, we’ll be gunning for race wins!”

White knows a thing or two about fast funny cars, he runs his own nitro funny car in his native New Zealand and has been on the top of the sport in his homeland for many years.

Another thing White is looking forward to is running at the world class Sydney Dragway venue.

“I can’t wait to get back to the Sydney Dragway startline, for our crew it’s a great chance to run on one of the world’s best drag racing tracks.

“With everything that Graeme (Cowin) and his team have planned for this event, it’s going to be the biggest and best one yet!”

Series boss Cowin was excited that White would be again racing at the biggest event of the year.

“Willy is behind the wheel of one of the most proven and consistent race cars in the pack, it’s great that he will be here to give the Australian-based drivers a hard time

“Willy has a great crew behind him and I expect they will be one of the real dark horses for a podium finish on the night.

Along with nitro funny cars, the Aeroflow Triple Challenge also features a Pro Burnout Show, Drifting with Passenger rides and EOYF car show.
