The Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) is pleased to announce that FuelTech has thrown its support behind ANDRA’s next generation as naming rights sponsor of the Junior Dragster bracket, as part of the 2026/2027 ANDRA Regional Sportsman Series.
“Junior Dragster is where so many racers develop their love of the sport, and we want to help support that from the beginning,” FuelTech’s Nathaniel Ardern said.
“There’s a huge amount of effort behind every junior on the start line. Parents, families, and crews put in countless hours to give these kids the opportunity to race. This sponsorship is our way of recognising that commitment and getting behind the next generation.”
The partnership brings FuelTech’s enthusiasm for drag racing to a bracket where young competitors develop their race craft, confidence, and understanding of competition.
“We spend a lot of our time helping racers with the technical side of their cars, but the future of drag racing depends just as much on the people coming into it,” Ardern said.
“These young drivers are learning preparation, discipline, and how to handle winning and losing. Those lessons stay with them, whether they move into another racing class or take a different path.”
FuelTech sees the sponsorship as an opportunity to strengthen its connection with the junior racing community and encourage continued participation in the sport.
“We want junior racers and their families to know that FuelTech is behind them,” Ardern said.
“Whether they are lining up for their first race or chasing a championship, we are proud to support a class that means so much to the future of Australian drag racing. We are looking forward to following their progress throughout the 2026/2027 season.”
FuelTech’s partnership with Junior Dragster as part of the 2026/2027 ANDRA Regional Sportsman Series will have its first outing at the upcoming SPRY Spring Nationals at Dragway at The Bend (October 22-25).
“Junior Dragster is so important to the future of our sport, where young drivers first learn how to prepare a car, take responsibility for it, and handle themselves under pressure, and the families behind them are just as much a part of that process as the kids in the seat. We are pleased to see a company like FuelTech put its support behind that,” McAvaney said.
“On behalf of ANDRA, thank you to FuelTech for backing such an important part of drag racing’s next generation. We are looking forward to seeing our Junior Dragster racers continue their championship fight this season, now with the backing of FuelTech.”
