A hit with drag racing fans and guaranteed to create excitement at any drag strip, Graeme and Wendy Cowin’s Psycho III will once again be appearing at Day Of The Drags on Sunday, March 29 at Sydney Dragway.
The AA/FA Supercharged V8 Fuel Altered will be steered by Outlaw Nitro Funny Car personality Shane Olive in an effort to once again try and break into the six-second zone.
The car’s last appearance at Sydney Dragway in September 2014 saw Shane running a best of 7.17 at 201 mph is 323.47 km/hr. Click here to view this run: That run was bettered during a test session at the venue with the Fuel Altered running an ET of 7.00 and it’s best ever speed of 210mph (337.96 km/hr).
“We hope, with the few changes we’ve made we’ll be back in the sixes,” said Shane Olive. “We’ll certainly be doing our best and going our hardest for the fans, that’s for sure.”
Psycho III will be on track three times throughout the day so make sure you’re there to catch this amazing vehicle. Not only is Psycho III beautiful “old school” race car, it is a testament to the commitment by the Cowin family to restore and re-introduce a significant and unique vehicle in Australian drag racing history to a new audience!
