Australian drag racing legend Gary Phillips has claimed yet another ANDRA Top Alcohol crown, taking his championship tally to sixteen - 15 in Top Alcohol and one in Top Doorslammer.

Consistency was the key for Phillips again this season as the Lucas Oils team claimed two top qualifiers, three top speeds, two low ETs and new national speed records bringing the bonus points that made the difference in the end.

ANDRA’s Best Engineered Vehicle Award is a prestigious honour for Australian built drag racing vehicles.

The winner at this year’s Fuchs Winternationals was Super Compact competitor Chris Tait in his Toyota-powered Nissan 200SX.

The never give up attitude was on full display at Willowbank Raceway today as final eliminations were completed for the rain-delayed Fuchs Winternationals.

Both race teams and event staff gave their all to bring the event to completion and allow every category to reach its conclusion.

The ANDRA Top Fuel national championship will all be decided in round one of racing on June 11 at Willowbank Raceway in Queensland when Western Australian Damien Harris takes on Victoria’s Darren Morgan.

Qualifying delivered an action packed show as rain delays pushed racing into the night. With Harris and Morgan claiming fourth and fifth positions respectively, the scene has been set for the title race.
