Events paused, Licence extensions, ANDRA office changes
In response to the government’s latest mandates on social distancing, the ANDRA Board has been left with no choice but to put a pause on all ANDRA sanctioned drag racing until the May 31, 2020 (pending further government updates).
We believe this is the right decision as further information emerges around social distancing and reducing gatherings of people being recommended as one of the most effective ways to protect everyone in the long run.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely, to listen to experts, and to be transparent as to when we believe we will be able to resume racing.
We as a national organisation take the health and safety of our members, employees and the broader community very seriously. It is the social responsibility of all of us to do our part in flattening the curve in the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The effects this pandemic is having on the world, our country and our drag racing family is undeniably one of the greatest crises we have ever faced.
As with every community we look to each other for support and care now and into the future, we are all in this complicated, uncertain and rapidly changing situation together, and we encourage everyone to look out for each other.
Licence extensions for ANDRA members
In light of the ongoing situation, a licence extension will be issued as at today for a period of 2 months to all ANDRA licence holders. There is no need to contact the office to request the extension as it will be applied automatically.
Further information including FAQs around this extension can be viewed in the ANDRA Motor Mail update which was published today, March 25, and emailed to all current ANDRA Members. It is also available to view at www.andra.com.au/latest-news/andra-motor-mail
