Motorsports NT held its annual awards ceremony on the weekend, with a number of ANDRA club members across the Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association and Central Australian Drag Racing Association nominated for awards.

ANDRA’s congratulations goes to all nominees on being recognised for their tireless efforts and dedication which make ANDRA drag racing possible at the Hidden Valley Drag Strip and Alice Springs Inland Dragway, and in particular to Calder Brennan of HVDRA, who took out the NT Junior Official of the Year Award for 2023.

“It was a surprise, but I’m pretty honoured to have won,” said 15-year-old Brennan, who is a Bracket Marshall for HVDRA.

“I feel honoured and happy to have won the award and although it wasn’t expected, I still thought there was a chance

“I view it as a special acknowledgement of what I’ve done and obviously the club I’m with have also recognised that.

“I find working as a Bracket Marshall quite enjoyable. I enjoy being able to go around and look at the cars while doing my job and it is quite nice to take part in. And working with the drag racing mob is great, I enjoy seeing the races, the cars and everything about it really.

“I would like to thank the HVDRA community, and especially my father, Patrick Brennan – he was my reason for going out to the drags in the first place.”

  • Adam Wilson (HVDRA) – Official Of The Year
