Drag racing is about eliminations well it seems Top Gear Australia (TGA) only got three passes down the track.

TGA season 4 has only aired three of their six show series with the final show opening with a well explained story on the challenging aspects of learning to drive a Dragster.

Top Gear Australia television program officially axed

Exert from press article in Car Advice 14/92011:

Long-term host Steve Pizzati put the speculation to an end this morning over Twitter:

“It’s true- as of next week, TGA will be on at the special time of not at all. Sorry to the open-minded people that gave it a go AND enjoyed!”

“To all the supporters (esp the ones that came to the studio), to all the manufacturers that gave us cars and to all in production- THANKYOU!”

“We’re told the last three episodes will make an appearance in the summer. Or try Blockbuster Video in the BetaMax section.”

Fortunately the argument that drag racing is just putting your foot down and driving in a straight line was resolved on their final scheduled show last night, as Steve Pizzanti attended the Ken Lowe Drag School to gain his ANDRA licence.
