Recent wet weather at Mildura’s Sunset Strip, combined with forecast further rain over the coming week, has forced the postponement of the Sunset Strip Nationals from September 17/18 to October 8/9.

The pit area of the Sunset Strip venue is severely water logged following recent rains, and with such a large entry list for the event, it is not possible to pit everyone only on the sealed areas.

The Sunraysia Drag Racing Association has been working exceptionally hard to dry out the non-sealed sections, and while progress has been made, the forecast’s promise of more rain in the coming days means the chance of those areas being dry enough to be used by the weekend is highly unlikely.

While forced to postpone, the SDRA is committed to the event and have therefore rescheduled it for the earliest opportunity – the weekend of October 8 and 9.

All entries will be carried over to the new dates with no action required by entrants. Competitors who are unable to attend the new dates can contact SDRA direct to receive their choice of a refund or a credit for future entry.
