The Australian National Drag Racing Association are pleased to announce Summit Racing Equipment have extended their support of sportsman racers to include the naming rights of the 2017 ANDRA Queensland Championship.
The championship will be referred to as the 2017 SUMMIT RACING QUEENSLAND CHAMPIONSHIP
The Summit Racing Qld Championship was created to give ANDRA Queensland racers the opportunity to compete in a locally based points series without the need to travel extensively interstate. All series champions will take home a highly prized ANDRA Christmas Tree trophy.
The Summit Racing Queensland Championship is a Tri-Series involving Palmyra Dragway, Benaraby Raceway and Iron Bark Raceway.
Northern Australia ANDRA Division Director Nathan Peirano said, “We are excited that Summit Racing Equipment has come on board with the ANDRA Queensland Championship Series and extended their partnership with ANDRA Drag Racing. We hope that this will help grow the series into the future and see it as a positive step for racers and venues involved in the series.”
All three events will be run over the eighth-mile using the Chicago Shootout format. These events are focused on providing a format that encourages sportsman racers to travel and enjoy plenty of track time on their way to be crowned the inaugural 2017 Summit Queensland Champion.
The Summit Racing Queensland Championship will see trophies handed out in the following categories – Top Sportsman, Supercharged Outlaws, Modified, Super Sedan, Super Street, Modified Bike, Junior Dragster and Super Gas.
