Summit Racing Equipment has reaffirmed their commitment to ANDRA Drag Racing by agreeing to a multi-season deal to become title rights sponsor of the Junior Dragster bracket.

The expanded role Down Under follows on from the successful sponsorship of the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series beginning with the completed 2015 season.

As Junior Dragster title rights sponsor, Summit Racing Equipment will inject significant investment into developing the future of the sport.

“We’re very excited to be able to support the ANDRA Junior Dragster category,” said Jim Greenleaf, Summit Racing Motorsports & Events Manager. “It is gratifying to be able to watch these young racers hone their skills in the Junior ranks and move up the Sportsman and Group 1 categories and become tomorrow’s champions.”

“Juniors are the future of ANDRA Drag Racing,” said Jennifer Harrison, ANDRA Business Development Manager.  “We applaud Summit Racing Equipment’s foresight in recognising this opportunity to expand their support and develop the best young racing talent Aussie drag racing has to offer.

“This is a substantial first step toward a Junior development pathway enhancing the bracket and providing more opportunity for Juniors to become the drag racing and motorsport stars of tomorrow.”

Thanks to the great support of Summit Racing Equipment, Junior Dragster licence fees have also been slashed to their lowest price since 2000/2001 following a previous reduction in 2014.

The new cost of a Junior licence is now just $70 inclusive of GST.

The new fee structure for Junior Dragsters takes effect from October 1, 2015. Racers who renewed their licence on or after October 1 are entitled to a credit by contacting the ANDRA Head Office on (08) 8271 5355 or info@andra.com.au.
