The SFI Board of Directors and Drag Race Wheel Committee have approved the following changes;
- SFI 15.2 Drag Race Front Wheels.
- Effective March 8, 2019, new wheels certified to 15.2 may not be painted or powder coated except by the original manufacturer.
- SFI 15.3 High Horsepower Drag Race Drive Wheels.
- Effective March 8, 2019, painting or powder coating is not permitted on any new wheel certified, or to be certified to SFI 15.3.
- Effective January 1, 2022, painted or powder coated wheels may not be recertified to SFI 15.3.
- SFI 15.4 TF & FC Drag Race Drive Beadlock Wheels.
- Effective March 8, 2019, painting or powder coating is not permitted on any new wheel certified, or to be certified to SFI 15.4.
- Effective January 1, 2022, painted or powder coated wheels may not be recertified to SFI 15.4.
These new rulings take immediate effect for all classes that mandate SFI specification wheels and will be detailed within the 2019/20 ANDRA Rulebook.
