The event that the Jason Hedges Racing (JHR) team had been looking forward to for quite some time has been postponed until April 8 and 9 due to inclement weather in the Western Sydney area over the past 72 hours.
“The entire team has been working hard in preparation for this event. We conducted some testing prior to the event and the changes that we had made to the car appear to be working. It’s a major let-down to all concerned, however, we realize that this is part of Drag Racing and there isn’t anything that anyone can do about it. I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank the staff of ANDRA and Sydney Dragway for offering the re-run to all of the competitors that entered the event,” explained Jason Hedges, Team Owner and Driver, Jason Hedges Racing.
Prior to the rain, Pro Stock did get their first qualifying session in. The JHR team concluded the session in third position with a time of 7.18/189M.P.H.
“Even though we didn’t get to complete the event, it’s fair to say that we started the event on the right note. We gained excellent data during this session, which will be put to good use the next time we hit the track,” said Hedges.
The JHR team will return to Sydney Dragway April 8 – 9 to complete the event.
