This last weekend (June 4th and 5th), the PRE Motorsport team contested the Winters Warmups event held at Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich Queensland. Heading into the event the team was looking to improve on their personal best elapsed time and the team managed to do just that when the team recorded a 7.062 second pass during the first session on Sunday morning.

Prior to the commencement of the weekend, team driver, Andrew Stravoulakis’ best elapsed time in a Pro Stock car was a 7.14 second pass, which was recorded earlier this year at Sydney Dragway at the 2011 Nitro Champs. Stravoulakis also recorded a 7.13 second pass late Saturday evening.

“Since the last event in Sydney, the 2011 Nitro Champs, Con has been busy working on getting the car more consistent. We definitely achieved this and the results that were turned in over the weekend pay off for all the hard work,” said Andrew Stravoulakis, driver of the PRE Motorsport/Goldfingers Gentlemens  Club Dodge Stratus.

Team Owner and Crew Chief, Con Sideris looks forward to this coming weekend’s Castrol EDGE Winternationals (June 10th to 13th).

“Traditionally, the Castrol EDGE Winternationals is the biggest event of the year and the one that everyone wants to win. If all of the planets can be aligned for next weekend, we will see the same weather conditions that were seen last year and in saying that the first six second Pro Stock pass in Australia will be seen,” said Sideris.

PRE Motorsport would like to thank sponsors: Goldfingers Gentlemens Club, PRE Race Engines, VP Racing Fuels, Champion Systems, Profab Motorsport Fabrication, C.R.D. Engineering, ASV Computing, Vegas Fuel Energy Drinks and Vinyl Wraps for their continued support of the team’s racing efforts.
