Daryn Schuster and the Powerhouse Dyno team will be out in force on Saturday (April 11) as 18 bikes line up in one of the biggest Competition Bike fields for some time in Round 4 of the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series at Willowbank Raceway.

Where there is a Comp Bike field on the East Coast, you’ll find the Powerhouse Dyno team fielding healthy numbers monopolising the results sheets.

“Powerhouse Dyno is an integral part of my racing,” says Schuster. “There is no way I would be able to achieve what I have achieved without their backing.

“Blair (Pennington) is there at every meet to ensure the bike is running to it’s potential which makes my job of riding a lot easier.”

Schuster has found remarkable consistency seemingly always troubling the pointing end of eliminations finishing runner up at both the X-Champs and Australian Nationals and winning the Fuchs Winternationals.

Even though two of the remaining three rounds of the season including this weekend will be held at his home track in Queensland, Schuster isn’t thinking of the championship given he will not make the trip to the Nitro Champs in Sydney.

But with the type of consistency he wrings from his Suzuki, Schuster is still a shot to be in the running come the Queens Birthday long weekend provided he can take home the Silver Christmas Tree on Saturday.

“Once again Blair and Steve from Powerhouse Dyno at Nerang are a massive help with preparing and maintaining the bike to ensure it is fast and consistent every major meeting.

“Preparation really is the key and making sure I am confident in my abilities and the capabilities of the bike.  This along with support from my wife, family and friends all contribute to successful racing.

“If it (the championship) happens it happens. We are focussed more on more on development and fine tuning of our bikes. Being a short season, we believe this is a good opportunity to try different set ups and see what works best.

“Hopefully a few of these changes work for the best and we can give it a red hot go next season where we will travel to more rounds.”
