The Lamattina Top Fuel Racing Team has headed home hungry to race again after spending the weekend chasing Gremlins and Dodging rain.

Sunday’s qualifying session proved to be frustrating as the team worked till very early hours of the morning locating an unknown electrical issue with the ‘Fuchs Top Fuel Dragster”. “After replacing all the components to find our electrical fault the first time we had no luck” said Theo Pav, LTFR Crew Chief. “It wasn’t rectified until we replaced all components three times, it proved to be very frustrating”.

The team was back on the startline in round one eliminations up against Andrew Cowin on Monday. “I could see everyone pointing to the sky after I did my burnout” said Phil Lamattina “All of a sudden the heavens opened up leaving us stranded on the startline”.   The sudden down pour of rain was enough to cancel the rest of the meeting.

The Nitro Lounge made it first debut at Willowbank Raceway. The rain and minimal racing didn’t affect our guests from Wing Flexible Packaging and Useasparky.com.au as they enjoyed the action in pit with the team and took pleasure in their delectable meals.
