Three new records were set the past two weeks in the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series at South Coast Raceway in Portland and the Australian Nationals at Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne.

Jim Ioannidis was the first to reset the eighth-mile B/MSA National Record in Super Stock at the South Coast event when he recorded a 5.843 elapsed time in qualifying. He backed that run up in the semi finals to knock off the 5.88 minimum.

At the Australian Nationals that man again, Craig Geddes, reset another Competition Eliminator quarter-mile B/D National Record with a 7.262 ET in the semi finals on his way to backing up on a winning final run. Geddes himself set the previous mark of 7.287 at the 2015 Winternationals.

Also at the Australian Nationals, John Kuiper set a new quarter-mile National Record for the Super Stock C/G class with an 8.026 ET in qualifying with is Round 2 holeshot loss enough for the backup. The ET minimum for C/G had previously been set at 8.04.

ANDRA extends its congratulations to all three teams for setting new benchmarks yet again.
