November 29 sees the celebration of the Melbourne Drag Racing Club’s 40th Anniversary.
In recognition of this milestone the MDRC have compiled a book commemorating the occasion highlighting the rich 40-year existence of the club with numerous photos of past and present members.
In compiling the book, the MDRC have been astonished by the history including the ups and downs as well as who has been and/or still is a member of the club.
Pictures and profiles of past and present members plus and every member over the 40-year period are listed in the book.
“1974 saw the formation of the Melbourne Drag Racing Club,” said MDRC Secretary Colin Griffin. “Here we are in 2014 celebrating our 40th year of competing, participating and enjoying drag racing.”
“We have had and still have many members competing in different classes across all the ANDRA brackets of racing, from Group 1 to Group 4.”
“The MDRC is a family orientated club which has monthly club meetings and our aim to be around many years to come.”
