Drag racing legend Chris Matheson is expanding his support of the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Series, with his Nitro Voodoo team joining New Gen Business Park in backing the series.
Starting with this weekend’s Alice Springs Toyota Desert Nationals, hosting rounds one and two of the new 2026/2027 ANDRA series season at Alice Springs Inland Dragway, Matheson’s Nitro Voodoo brand will sponsor the bike-related brackets – Junior Drag Bike, Competition Bike and Modified Bike – as well as the Top Qualifier awards for those brackets.
New Gen Business Park will continue its support of Supercharged Outlaws and will retain sponsorship of the Top Qualifier awards for all non-bike ANDRA Regional Sportsman Series brackets.
Australian Top Fuel Motorcycle racing team Nitro Voodoo has become one of the most successful names in Australian Top Fuel Drag Bike racing, with Matheson winning eight Australian Championships, more than 50 Group One races, and setting most of the national and track records. In May 2023, Matheson made history with a 5.920-second pass at 232.23mph (374km/h), the first five-second quarter-mile pass recorded in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere.

“After supporting a number of ANDRA brackets and Top Qualifier awards over the past two seasons through New Gen Business Park, I am very pleased to now expand that support further with the addition of Nitro Voodoo to the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Series,” Matheson said.
“Through Nitro Voodoo, we are excited to back Junior Drag Bike, Competition Bike, and Modified Bike, while New Gen Business Park will continue its support of Supercharged Outlaws and the non-bike Top Qualifier awards.
“ANDRA Sportsman racing is an incredibly important part of our sport, and I am proud to continue contributing to its growth through both New Gen Business Park and Nitro Voodoo.”
ANDRA CEO Tim McAvaney said the expanded support was a welcome boost for the championship.
“Chris Matheson is a legend in Australian drag racing, and it is fantastic to see him broadening his backing of the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Series through both New Gen Business Park and Nitro Voodoo,” McAvaney said.
“We are very pleased to see Nitro Voodoo come on board as both bracket and Top Qualifier sponsor for each of our bike brackets, while New Gen Business Park continues its support of Supercharged Outlaws and the Top Qualifier awards for our non-bike brackets.
“This expanded commitment is a wonderful show of confidence in ANDRA Sportsman racing and in our racers, and we look forward to seeing it begin at this weekend’s Alice Springs Toyota Desert Nationals.”
