This Saturday (22 August) the latest round of the Queensland Drag Racing Championships will hit Willowbank Raceway, hosting more than 100 local heroes of all ages.

Making his debut on the race track this weekend is eight year old Rustie Willshire – son of prominent drag racing identity and Jamboree co-owner Collin Willshire – with the grade three, Calvary Christian College student set to join his 13.5 year old brother Jett in the Junior Dragster bracket for the first time. 

His team – Jett Racing – have been hard at work for weeks getting his Junior Dragster up to speed, and now Rustie can’t wait to hit the track. 

Darwin’s NT Titles has seen O’Rourke Motorsport’s Grant O’Rourke retain his second place standing in the Top Doorslammer championship, courtesy of a Top Qualifying result and a semi-finals appearance.
