Ballarat Drag Club are putting up a unique offer to young racers this season, giving all 18 year olds free race entry to events this season.
By showing their driver’s licence and paying general spectator admission, it will cost nothing extra to race their vehicle in a safe and legal environment.
“We are hoping that this will encourage a younger generation back to drag racing and give them a low cost taste of the sport,” said Victoria/Tasmania ANDRA division director Phil Parker.
“At each of these meetings we will also be running our Drag Racing 101 classes on the start line before the commencement of racing so that any new, or not so new, comers will have the general aspects of drag racing explained to them.”
