Paul Mouhayet set a new personal best at the Street Car Super Nationals at the The Strip in Las Vegas this past weekend.

Battling electrical problems all four days, Mouhayet still managed a personal best with a 5.565 at 267.69 mph to top Outlaw Pro Mod qualifying.

A tyre shaking solo 5.724 at 271.52 mph in Round 1 set up a meeting with Andrew Berry in the semis. Unfortunately it ended disappointingly with a 6.288 at 174.44 mph to Berry’s 5.993 at 247.66 mph.

In an update posted to Facebook Mouhayet said:

“Vegas SCSN is over. We PB’d but had to work hard for it. Had an electrical problems for 4 days straight.

“We lost our MPH record to Team mate Troy Coughlin. At least it’s a PLR turbo car!!

“Massive thanks to my crew who really worked their asses off this trip. Never got home before 1.30am every night. Back up at 6.30 everyday.

“I really appreciate everything my crew do for me. Are we disappointed? Yes but we did PB. We are a team of high achievers and nothing but perfection will cut it for us.

“The car is going back to PLR for servicing and we will make a decision on where we go from there.

“Huge thanks to the Turbos Direct guys for the converter parts. You guys Rock!!!!

Team Jegs, JB Power Center and everyone who helped us. THANK YOU.

“Camp Stanley and John Stanley I ant thank you guys enough. You let us run you out of your own trailer. I really appreciate your hospitality. A massive thank you to Uncle Camp and my brother John.

“Kevin Fiscus huge thanks for getting my car there and back.

“Thanks to my family and friends for making the trip to watch us do what we do.

“PLR and Fuel Tech, thank you for making all this work. Without you guys we wouldn’t be where we are today.

“Last but not least I’d like to thank all the people that help me out at home and here to get my job done. It’s not easy running a 2-car team in 2 different countries and achieving what we have in the short time we have had in the turbo promod game.

“Moits brothers Michael, tony and George. THANK YOU so much for allowing me to do what I do.

“Daniel Moit, David Mouhayet, Con James, Vick Elfes I love you guys. Thank you very much for everything you guys do.

“The people that follow us. Thank you. I hope we don’t let you all down.

“We promise to keep you all entertained.”
