The Australian National Drag Racing Association is pleased to announce a 200 per cent increase in TV audiences in 2014 from the previous 12 months.

2014 has seen ANDRA Drag Racing beamed into the homes and mobile devices of over 10 million people around Australia and across the world through SBS Speedweek, Pay TV (Speed/Fox Sports), Motorsports TV, ANDRA.com.au, Speedweek.com.au, MAVTV in the US and Motors TV in the UK and Europe.

Speedweek on SBS accounted for an audience of 8,632,066 while online and mobile audiences through ANDRA Catch Up TV (ANDRA.com.au), Motorsports TV and Speedweek.com.au produced a further 1,160,047 loads.

ANDRA CEO Malcolm Bulley said he was encouraged by the reach and penetration as ANDRA Drag Racing is now seen by a larger audience than ever before through more mediums than ever before.

“This is great news but this is only the beginning,” he said. “There are more and more ways than ever before to consume content and we are really only just beginning to scratch the surface of the potential audience we can reach.

“TV is and always will be incredibly important and we will continue to develop the product. But what is really exciting is we can continue to grow the audience through other mediums which in turn can filter back into improving the types of content we can provide, not least of course the TV show itself.”

ANDRA Drag Racing will continue to air in Australia on SBS Speedweek and Fox Sports in addition to catch up replays online through ANDRA Catch Up TV, Speedweek.com.au and Motorsports TV throughout 2015/2016.

Overseas audiences will also be able to continue watching ANDRA Drag Racing on MAVTV in the US, Motors TV in the UK and Europe as well as catch up screenings online.
