Cold weather failed to hold back dedicated Victorian racers at the first of a number of technical inspection days before the resumption of ANDRA Drag Racing at Calder Park.

ANDRA would like to confirm that the 2012/2013 season championship dinner will be held on Monday the 4th of November, the night after the 2013 Nationals at Sydney Dragway which is the last championship round of the season for all our pro categories and the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship.

The system of voluntary ANDRA crew membership has now been formalised across all tracks and provides a new option for crew members to avoid lengthy queues for signing an indemnity.

It's official – ANDRA Championship Drag Racing is returning to Calder Park Raceway.

In front of a packed house of Victorian ANDRA club members, CEO Malcolm Bulley delivered the news that all racers and fans were hoping to hear, drag racing is back in Melbourne, the sporting capital of Australia.

Coming weeks will see a raft of promotion for ANDRA Drag Racing across the country, with displays taking place at this weekend’s Clipsal 500 in Adelaide and next weekend’s Top Gear Festival in Sydney.

Since 1973, ANDRA has been Australian for drag racing. An organisation of racers for racers, ANDRA continues to ensure safe and fair competition around the country and promotion of the sport.

This year ANDRA celebrates its 40th anniversary and a range of activities are planned to recognise both the occasion and the many people who have been and continue to be instrumental to the growth of drag racing in Australia.

Former Group One drag racer Robin Judd has been appointed to the ANDRA Board, bringing a wealth of business and practical motorsport experience to the organisation.

Judd is a corporate advisory director of William Buck Chartered Accountants in Western Australia and a multi-time event winner in Top Doorslammer.
