The All Bike Nationals presented by Harley Davidson have been run and won at Dragway at the Bend today.
On track on Saturday October 10 was ANDRA Regional Sportsman Series racing for Nitro Voodoo Junior Drag Bike, Nitro Voodoo Modified Bike, Nitro Voodoo Competition Bike, and Motorcycle Transport and Repairs Extreme Bike, as well as NDRC championship racing for group one brackets, Top Fuel Motorcycle and Pro Stock Motorcycle.
When all was said and done it was Aliza Harris (Nitro Voodoo Junior Drag Bike, runner-up Kobe Ashelford), Dean Jamieson (Nitro Voodoo Modified Bike, runner-up Michael Cristoforo), Neville Langley (Nitro Voodoo Competition Bike, runner-up Edge Mallis), and Jake Hamilton-Moderate (Motorcycle Transport and Repairs Extreme Bike, runner-up Brendan Miglionico), Danny Rickard (NDRC Top Fuel Motorcycle, runner-up Corey Buttigieg), and Paul Andrew (NDRC Pro Stock Motorcycle, runner-up Callam Godeassi), who took out the event winning Christmas Tree trophies.
In Nitro Voodoo Competition Bike, it was Neville Langley who emerged victorious from the finals match-up against Nitro Voodoo Top Qualifier Edge Mallis, running under the national marker to boot.

Langley made his way to the final through the three-round Chicago Shootout format with wins over Nick Stewart and Cheryl ‘MsVrod’ Beddoes, before a round three solo. Mallis meanwhile had a round one bye ahead of successful match-ups against Joe Khoury and Casey Carlson.
“I feel fantastic. We improved with the bike ten-fold! With the new combo, we have been slowly getting a handle on it, and we ran under the national record today in the final, so everyone is just rapt with that,” Langley said.
“The All Bike Meeting is awesome. We have had a really good run at the All Bike meetings, so hopefully they can continue.
“I want to say a big thank you to Trevor Birrell from Trevor Birrell Racing, he provides the horsepower, and to all the competitors – you can’t get a better bunch of guys than at an All Bike meetings!”
In Nitro Voodoo Junior Drag Bike, Aliza Harris interrupted Kobe Ashelford’s winning streak to take out the win, after having earlier dispatched Isabel Woolcock (round one), and Nitro Voodoo Top Qualifier Bailey Paul (semi-final). Ashelford meanwhile booked his ticket to the final by successfully facing off against Lawrence Rashcella (round one) and Austin Walpole (round two).

“I am pretty excited, it is good to be back to getting back into racing again as I had a momentary pause where I wasn’t in it as such, and I have had a lot of support from people around me and was able to get back into what I was meant to do,” Harris said.
“It was good fun to race against the people I raced against today, they all made it good fun. The bike went great, it was very consistent, and I didn’t have any troubles with it, and it absolutely loved the weather today, the weather just made it go.
“I was actually really surprised, I didn’t think I was going to get that win as I felt I was off my dial-in, but it turned out that I ended up breaking out but still ended up with the win! It was a good race and definitely a tough one against Kobe.”
In Nitro Voodoo Modified Bike, Dean Jamieson had a hugely successful day, first taking out the Nitro Voodoo Top Qualifying honours before going on to take out the ANDRA Christmas Tree trophy with victory over the red lighting Michael Cristoforo in the final round. Earlier in the day, he had enjoyed a round one bye before going on to advance past Nick Larcombe and Dazz Scott before another bye run, this time in the semi-final. Cristoforo meanwhile earned his way to the final battle with wins over Tony Frost (round one), David McGinn (round two), Derryn McGregor (round three), and Brock Richards (semi).

“It was a good day. We had a good field of 17 bikes with a good mix of different bikes and racers, some close racing, and the results fell our way at the end of the day,” Jamieson said.
“It has been a real good start to the season, we have got three wins out of four now, so we are really happy with that – hopefully we can keep the streak going into Spring Nats. Thank you to my crew, the Walpoles and the Bartletts, as well as ANDRA and Dragway at The Bend.”
In Motorcycle Transport and Repairs Extreme Bike – making its ANDRA series debut this weekend – Jake Hamilton-Moderate took out the first ANDRA Christmas Tree for the bracket with a win over Brendan Miglionico. He had made his way to the final through a Chicago Shootout format featuring wins over Cory Read, Miglionico, and Darren Foley. Miglionico meanwhile had emerged victorious from match-ups against Nitro Voodoo Top Qualifier Ryan Franks (round one) and a bye run in round three.
In NDRC Top Fuel Motorcycle, Danny Rickard took the win over Corey Buttigieg, with Rickard laying down an 8.05 second pass at 166.69mph while Buttigieg (16.09) tagged the wall.

Earlier in the day, Rob Cassar had top qualified (7.196 at 164.51mph) before going on to enjoy a bye run in the first round of racing (15.082), as did Rickard (8.018/164.99mph), while James Hall (8.888/149.17mph) took a win over Buttigieg (10.733/100.27mph). Unfortunately, at this point Cassar and Hall would both withdraw with bike issues, leaving Buttigieg (9.322/137.35mph) and Rickard (23.683) to each enjoy solo passes in the second round, before facing off against each other in the final.
“It was a bit of chaos for us out there today, we were lucky to make it through, we had a bit of carnage,” Rickard said.
“We had an issue at the test and tune Friday with the fuel system which we thought we had gotten our head around, but it was still there in qualifying. But we still got to the end of the track.
“In the first round, we had a joining link in the chain break at 60 foot, and then in the second round, after changing it, the chain broke again, this time about 300 feet.
“So, we put a third chain on it for the final, and it went well with no dramas, other than blowing an oil line off at around the 1000ft mark. We were pretty happy to get the win after all of that!”
In NDRC Pro Stock Motorcycle, Paul Andrews took a significant win over a red-lighting Callam Godeassi (7.239/186.4mph) with his 7.41 second pass at 179.42mph seeing him claim his first win in 26 years.

It wasn’t the first match-up for Andrews and Godeassi on Saturday either, with Andrews (7.471/177.41mph) also defeating him in round one, with Godeassi (7.292/182.73mph) also red lighting in this race. In round two, with Top Qualifier Locky Ireland withdrawing after a round one solo win, both Godeassi and Andrews benefited from solo runs, laying down 7.258/172.14mph and 7.555/178.62mph passes respectively on their way to the final.
“This is my first win in 26 years – I raced Pro Bike 26 years ago, back in the day, and then I got back into it a few years ago with the help of some very special people in the class. Trevor Birrell and all the guys in this class are amazing, and they all seem to help each other, it is a real nice little community,” Andrews smiled.
“It was great to get the win, I was a little lucky I suppose as Cal red-lit a couple of times, but I also had some good lights. The bike wasn’t at its best, we had a few issues like everyone did, but to say I am stoked with the win is an understatement! To have a win in this class is a bit special for me, I am really stoked!”
Also adding to the on-track thrills Saturday was racing for non-championship brackets, Street Bike, Street Registered Harleys, and the Scooter Challenge. In these classes, John Banks (Street Bike, runner-up Nick Larcombe), Michael Frost (Street Registered Harleys, runner-up Manny Schembri), and Vlad Ostashkevich (Scooter Challenge, runner-up Jason Lee) took out the event wins. Banks and Lee also took out the top qualifying honours for their brackets, while the Street Registered Harleys’ qualifying was topped by Zane Brunnthaler.
