MISSING OUT FOR LACK OF MOTORSPORT PARK

CHARITIES and youth mentoring organisations are missing out because of stalled negotiations on a proposed motorsport park at Gillman, its backers say.
The Adelaide Motorplex consortium has fought for three years to buy or lease State Government land for the $100 million project, with the initial $25 million stage to include a race circuit, drag strip and business centre.


After an incredable showing at their first NHRA in Las Vega's by qualifying 15th out of 26 to make a field of 16, then to stop Cory McClenathan's championship hunt by beating him in eliminations, Rapisarda Racing's Mark Mariana definatly had everyone talking.
In just over two weeks the second event for the 2010/2011 Perth Motorplex Drag Racing season two of Australia's Top Fuel champions - Phil Lamattina in the Fuchs Lubricants Top Fuel Dragster and Darren Morgan in the AEG Top Fuel Dragster will compete in a match race format. Rob Pilkington made an impressive start to the drag racing season at Perth Motorplex with a win in Top Comp at the Grand Opening event on October 30.
The action came thick and fast at the Benaraby Raceway in Central Queensland during the final round of the Nitro Magazine 2010 South Queensland Eighth Mile Drag Racing Series across the weekend.
