So far the 2010/2011 ANDRA Pro Series has started just the way that the Jason Hedges Racing team had hoped with making the semi-finals of the opening event the 2010 Fuchs Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway.

During the off-season the team had worked very hard with some exciting new developments and dividends have already been seen. However, with that being seen, JHR doesn't want to be a one hit wonder.

Maurice Brennan is licking his lips rather than licking his wounds as he now focuses on his next attempt at running ANDRA Pro Series Drag Racing in March next year, despite not making the show for last weekend's Top Doorslammer round and crashing his car and trailer on the way home from the event.

"We were on the way home from a pretty disappointing weekend, only to have someone cut in front of me, and when I brought on the brakes, the trailer carrying the racecar jacknifed and sideswiped my Land Cruiser and then snapped off the hitch and headed straight towards the armco," a shaken Brennan reported.

After a career covering sports management, manufacturing and transport, Greg Humphreys has been appointed to the new ANDRA position of Deputy CEO/Business Manager. Based in Adelaide, Humphreys spent some years as the CEO of the Adelaide Thunderbirds / Netball SA, with responsibilities in areas such as team operations, venue management, events, membership and sponsorship.

"The new position is part of the restructure of ANDRA and a broadening of our resources." said ANDRA CEO Tony Thornton.

ONE HD today launched its new website - onehd.com.au - and the marketing campaign was based around four of their key sporting products which included swimming, football, NBA and of course ANDRA Drag Racing. 

I was lucky enough to be chosen to be a part of this integrated campaign which was based on the premise that "There's a new player in town". Said Phil Read from Jim Read Racing.

The 2010 Annual General Meeting for HVDRA was held on Saturday night where the previous year was recapped and votes were cast for the 2011 management committee. Outgoing President, Clive Mainland chaired the meeting and was glowing in his President's report.
