It is with great excitement that we can announce the establishment of a valuable relationship between the L&H Group and ANDRA Pro Series Drag Racing. L&H will now be the Official Electrical Suppliers of the ANDRA Pro Series in 2010.

Well what can I say rain, rain, rain, not good. The build up to the race was a busy one for the Jim Read Racing team as everything was prepared after our back to back Perth races. For me it was also busy with the plans for the first official launch of the McDonalds Sponsorship for Sydney Dragway including the Junior Dragster "Search for a Star" Promotion, and also my first Sydney event flying the McDonalds corporate colours on my race car.

This weekend is set to be the biggest battle in ANDRA Pro Series Top Doorslammer drag racing, as the quickest slammers in Australia fight for positions in the Championship at the 39th Annual Westernationals event at the Perth Motorplex.

The inaugural Karcher Tri State Top Doorslammer Shootout will commence as part of qualifying at this weekend’s 2009 Westernationals at the Perth Motorplex. As part of the exciting ANDRA Pro Series the shootout is a three round “mini championship” incorporating qualifying runs at the Westernationals, the Nitro Champs event at Sydney Dragway in May, and the Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway in Brisbane next June.

Brisbane rider Chris Matheson has had a great debut season in Top Bike, and goes into this weekend's round of the ANDRA Pro Series at the Perth Motorplex maintaining a slight lead over local hero Jay Upton. Matheson and Upton have shared most of the performance bonuses this season as well as some of the more spectacular incidents. With just 10 points between them each will be looking to step forward at the half way point in the season.
