Paul Stephen heads to Mildura’s Sunset Strip Nationals this weekend with one goal in mind: a Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series Supercharged Outlaws championship.

The Sunset Strip Nationals is the third round of the 18/19 series, and will be held across September 22-23.

After many years in the Supercharged Outlaws title top five and a number of runners-up results, the Sydney racer – currently second in the points standings – reports he is fully committed to the 18/19 season aboard his popular ’33 Dodge Coupe.

After a season-ending high-speed crash in March of this year, Amanda Martin is preparing to make her racing comeback in a new car at next weekend’s Sunset Strip Nationals in Mildura.

The September 22-23 event at the Sunset Strip marks round three of the Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series and will see the Emerald Ink business owner from Balcatta in Western Australia debut a new Chevy Cobalt.

The September 22-23 event will mark round three of the 18/19 Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series and the first round of the Competition Bike championship battle for the season.

Simon Barlow (Mark Cuffe)

Modified racer Simon Barlow ensured his Desert Nationals trip was a success recently, resetting both the ET and MPH markers of the national A/MD record on his way to a finals appearance at the Alice Springs Inland Dragway event.

The South Australian had earlier taken out the Top Qualifier’s Medallion – thanks to TileCo-TheShowerPeople and KC Tools – for the bracket during what was round two of the 18/19 Summit Racing Equipment Sportsman Series.

Thanks to Barlow’s efforts, the national A/MD ET and MPH records now stand at 6.871s and 197.87mph respectively. To see the current records list, please click here.
